Michelle is a Los Angeles-based narrative director whose work challenges societal norms. Her films center around female-driven stories that depict hope and healing through characters that are honest, grounded, and sincere. An activist through her art, she often quotes Dr. César A. Cruz: “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.” In addition to Lesbophilia winning multiple awards on the festival circuit, her latest short drama, Lineage, based on a true story about three generations of women and their experience with abortion during the Great Depression, hits the festival circuit in 2025. With over 17 years in entertainment, Michelle has experience as a producer, assistant director, and actor; is a graduate of the UCLA TFT Program for Acting; is a member of the DGA; and teaches at the Semester in LA program for Columbia College Chicago.
